The Domestic Violence Prevention Network

The Domestic Violence Prevention Network of Northwest Hennepin County was founded in 1994 as a result of a community forum on Domestic Violence.

The purpose of the Domestic Violence Prevention Network of Northwest Hennepin County is to:

Confront and eliminate violence in Northwest Hennepin County by supporting domestic violence programs.
Educate government officials and the public about domestic violence.
Act in response to incidents of domestic violence.
Monitor the effectiveness of intervention projects, law enforcement and courts in eliminating domestic violence.
Share information, resources and techniques to work more effectively.

Candlelight Vigil October 2007

Members include citizens from local communities and representatives from: Brooklyn United Methodist Church, Home Free, League of Women Voters of Brooklyn Park, Osseo and Maple Grove, North Hennepin Community College, Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council, PRISM, Project P.E.A.C.E., and Valley Community Presbyterian Church
